CHULA PAWZ GROOMING STUDIO — SAINT GEORGE, UTAH
Golden Retriever Grooming
Keeping Utah’s favorite family dog golden — and the fur off your floor.
Golden Retrievers are gorgeous, friendly — and serious shedders. That feathered double coat needs regular professional care to stay healthy, comfortable, and out of your carpet.
What a Golden groom includes
A deep bath and conditioning, a thorough high-velocity blow-out to release the undercoat, de-shedding work, feathering and feet tidied with scissors (never shaved), plus nails and ears. Goldens leave here lighter, shinier, and smelling wonderful.
Never shave a Golden
It’s tempting in the St. George heat, but a Golden’s double coat insulates against heat and protects their skin from sunburn. Shaving can permanently damage coat texture. The right answer is regular de-shedding — cooler dog, intact coat, far less fur at home.
How often?
Every 6–8 weeks works for most Goldens, with extra de-shedding visits during spring and fall coat blows. Weekly brushing at home in between keeps the feathering tangle-free — especially behind the ears and the back of the legs.
